Today's accomplishments:
- killed a fly
- finished one and a half quote-acrostics [too many to go]
- confirmed that interest rates for CDs are ass [vs. the AWESOME rates I got in-dream]
- ...realized my favourite villain* to write is like if Tony Stark was a DJ and punitive against a single, specific person =p
- NYE/NYD OFF WOO
...and pic =p *yes, that one-->
I find it aggravating to have to host my own images for the purposes of LJ, when the Scrapbook section goes down, because I'm still stuck in that "show off what I did now as proof that I did something" stage, and I perpetually find myself wanting to reorganize files--which means moving some, which means breaking links, which means hunting down the places where I linked and fixing them... hassleous! X/ At least with Scrapbook, I don't care where [most] files are, because they're pretty much all there for one or two posts anyway and not worth organizing beyond a few basic folders.
[Edit: Scrapbook works again, moved =p yay]
But I found myself mesmerized by who is becoming the ultimate villain in my eyes: fully believable [is NOT pictured 9 times out of 10
eating a huge feast], the epitome of every wicked thought I have ever had and then some, and yet TOTALLY FUN. For instance, the scribble to your right, image placement allowing, is a for-fun human* rendition of the same, illustrating what I think makes him a bit more popular than the average DJ [how many are buff AND go topless? I wager fewer than if they were in a rock band, but I suppose I don't really know how hot it gets up there]. At the same time, he's egregiously offensive, which presents me this challenge of showing off just how offensive while still keeping within my own sensibilities [a bit short of outright pr0n], which also prompts my imagination to churn out the thousands of ways he does what he does: stuff like ripping off others' work to where it's only obvious that he has if someone compares note by note--that is, does as much as possible to avoid having to pay licensing fees and/or works his charisma over the license holder to get out of paying royalties... stuff like that.
Not that it makes me at all interested in finishing the composition =p especially since I'm not fond of how the chick is posed and don't feel like redrawing her just yet. Also, I'm still trying to work out the BOOK COVER for
B2S1 because I'm going to feel so AWFUL if I don't finish the FIRST book before the sequel books... >_< and yet all I get are ideas for random scenes and assorted paraphenalia art** [stuff like "
Photoshop Hero" or "
The Sassy Cavy Trainee"--art that is incidental vs. directly pertaining to the main story].
*Trivia: My animal-people from
serious settings [vs. cartoony/humorous] call themselves... *drumroll* ..."humans." This stems from the fact that "human" is derived from the word for "one" or "of the earth" or etc. and other beings, as such, would name themselves similarly. Earthlings would call them "furries" or some such; they would call us... "aliens," I guess. [Mutants? Monsters?] To distinguish, I would call them Earthlings and Terrans [of Terra Firma].
**For instance, the picture's of one of Vice's album covers. It's fun to compose, but it doesn't do a lick of good for me finishing it as far as putting out THE DAMN BOOK goes.
...task-oriented? Me? Pshaw =p but yes, I'm still still STILL aggravated that I should have been able to but HAVE NOT finished something publishable yet. I just can't pin down a book cover design I like--for ANY book... ARGHARARGH DX
...oh, and we saw the Goodwins on Sunday, very good to do ^^ and there was a
