I just caught a snippet of this Australian TV show that's supposed to be funny because they do practical joke satires.  It's called The Chaser or something like that.  What they did in this clip was that in yet another dig at the Catholic church on the paedophilia scandal, the team went to Rome, where they parked a van just outside the Vatican and

I really used to have a rather good impression of Australia until I came to live here, and that really changed my opinion a lot.

Dude, they flew a blimp insulting Catholicism over the Vatican.  Like o_OOOOOOOOOOOOO man.  What's more, it's not just the act of one bunch of morons but the entire network came out to say they approve, support and stand by what those guys did.  In other words, they're saying that it's OK to insult Catholicism because we find it funny, who cares what you think

There are crazy people everywhere, and I just bitch about them wherever they are.  Yes I recognise that Singapore is not the most perfect country in the world and it's not that great either, but it is my home and if I really hated it that much, I'd just leave-which is why I would have left Australia a long time ago if not for the fact that I'm stuck here for now.

And the thing is, because Singapore is my home, chances are I will continue bitching about how stupid, insensitive and plain retarded some Singaporeans are years after I've left Australia behind, you can certainly count on that. :)
