poetry

I could never write poetry, at least the poetry that is deemed acceptable by the tortured souls of the world. All the poems I have written are in the level of what I call "grade school". Not that I am looking down on those who are a decade younger than me. It's just that it was in our elementary school years when the cheesiest poetry we ever ( Read more... )

Funny how I seemed to find it easier to write poems as a child until 3rd year high school then when I entered college, my ideas just shrivelled into bits and pieces of shit. The greater ones became turds. That whenever I'd write or attempt to write, I end up with bullshit. Hahaha!!!

now that's poetry :P it's true though, even if I only wrote completely cheesy love poems back then, at least I was able to write something that just spilled out. In college, I had to force myself to write and we all know that forcing something to happen won't always have a positive outcome.

Just today, I blushed crazily when I caught sight of someone who makes me think of kisses in the summer rain. It happened in a second, I swear--I saw, then I turned strawberry. Hell, raspberry. I felt the freakin' red on my cheeks. ---> That line was absolutely poetic. Jill, you're a poet. You rock. :)
thanks! that's one of the nicest compliments I've ever gotten! and see, I got poetic without forcing myself...all it took for me to "spill" was a guy *roll eyes* ( ... )

True, I have thought of death but only in the shallow "Oh my god I dropped my celfone in front of him I want to die!" type of death.

>>haha. awww jill. you're so funny!

and yuh. i remember those CW classes with you. and remember that fiction class and our classmates and danton suggesting that you make your short story "ironic"?? oohhh. memories. we were walking around edsa walk (coz the breaks were long and dependent on danton's mood and appetite) tapos parang sabi ni laurence na di lang nila gets. you can't make it ironic because you're not an "ironic" person. the story stands the way it is without the angst-subtle-winkwink-irony-churva.

and you're right. any time you force something it just will never feel right and even if it sounds good and is "acceptable" to others, if you're not comfortable with it, it will never sound right to you.
besides who wants angst when you can be EROTIC. hwoah.
:P

ay isa pa yun..."make it ironic" i actually remember that. speaking of danton, nakito ko siya sa natio katips nung isang araw. wala lang. speaking of irony...

to tell you the truth, hindi ko nga alam kung paano ko gagawing ironic yung "girl talk". i guess ganoon pa ako ka-sunshines and hearts and flowers na i can't be ironic. sarcastic yes. ironic no. oh well, naka B ako sa kanya!

and yez i will take erotica over irony ANY day. much more interesting :p

I KNOW it has something to do with the cotillions I had during the year of the 18th-Birthday-Debut-of-Everyone extravaganza.

Oh I remember this! Haha :D That was fun. :P I remember your poetry too. ;) Pero syempre masnaaalala ko yung mga laugh-trip na poems. Those were the days... Hehe
