Jelgate's Two Cents-Incursion Part I

Anyone who writes reviews about shows will say while its rewarding and a fun thing to do but at the same time it can be a mentally exhausting task. So I was kind of glad that I got Memorial weekend off to relax before diving into Incursion. But at the same time I was hoping the rest would bring one jaw dropping of a season finale. And if part two ( Read more... )

RE: Character moment density - I thought the opposite! I thought it was all character moments.

What I found interesting was the fact Young didn’t vent the atmosphere in the Gate room when he found out that Rush was now with them. I don’t know. Maybe it points that he doesn’t hate Rush as much as he did in Justice.

He's got major Rush!guilt. I don't know how he feels about Rush (I don't think he hated Rush all along as much as he did right before and during the fight) but he's never going to kill him again!

Yes I understand Chloe is critically injured and Eli has to get her back to the center of the ship. But what is the whole point of that?

It's a character thing :-) Eli is having to step up and be physically heroic; and knowing how Chloe likes her universe ordered, this might have interesting long-term consequences.

Very much agree on the fail ending, after all that drama, it was a bit of a let down.

I'm hoping the Eli/Chloe thing will lead to an ELI SAVES THE DAY moment, I have no idea how, but I just want it to happen, it'd be hilarious since he was the one to effectively kick start the entire show. There'd be a nice symmetry to it.

My guess is that Eli will find something on that other side of the ship to play a role with helping the fight, at least I hope that's the reason for the subplot. But, I thought it was nice to see him being such a hero to Chloe.

The turned to dust guy kinda makes me think of an angry ascended being, thus Franklin. Especially the way the lights all dimmed at the time. And maybe Destiny/ascended Franklin was aware of the fight over control of the ship. If Destiny no longer moves, then what use is it to the Lucian Alliance?

And if Telford is back on their side, which I think he is, the ep may have been partly a way to get him on Destiny. Makes me wonder who's then the Colonel in charge? Would Telford fill guilty enough to let Young be in charge?
