Last episode was really well done. I could have done with less sex but it was very emotional.

Some of the sex really threw me out of the story, but honestly, I was in just the right mood for it and was perfect for me.

How do I find you on Tumblr? (I've never really done anything with it but follow links.)

I really like that the level of violence and the level of sex are kept at reasonable parity. We see the whole whipping, we see the whole sex scene.

Excellent point! Actually, the we get more sex than violence, (thank god). You've read the books, right? I am terrified about upcoming scenes.

I'm here on tumblr.

Well, we've had what, three sex scenes so far? Her and Frank in the hotel, her and Frank in the castle, and her with Jamie, although we could count that as three. So say five.

For violence there's been Randall's first attack on Claire, the skirmish in which Jamie gets shot, Jamie getting beaten in Laoghaire's place, Jamie getting beaten up and dragged into the Gathering, the fight at Lallybroch, the whipping at Fort William, and Randall beating Claire--if I haven't missed any, that's seven. Oh, I'm leaving out Dougal punching Rupert and the nailing of the boy to the stocks. That's nine. I might also count Dougal and Jamie playing field hockey :) Though if I'm going to count those, we could also count Jamie kissing Laoghaire--that's a sexual scene, if not a "sex scene" per se. Anything else?

So closer to parity than many shows, but violence still has the edge.

Ooh, yeah, I wasn't thinking about all the other scenes of violence. I think we'll see the parity tip in the other direction from now on. :D
