It's been over a week. I know it takes me a while to adjust (longer than most, it seems). I am hoping to get to sleep earlier than midnight tonight (something I have yet to accomplish since we got home!).

I'm sprawled in a chair recovering from a visit to the state archives. Archives always exhaust me...

Squids! My friend's niece wanted a stuffed-animal squid for her 7th birthday. No one is exactly sure why. :D

SQUID!! TENTACLES. Your friend's niece knows what she's about. Did you look at that picture? When I see squid and jellyfish that look like that, they always look like something unreal -- a bit magical.
