I'm tired of every German being the evil dude. It's old and demeaning. I'd like to agree, it's getting rather tiresome to see 'us' always and forever being the bad guys. :/
I liked CA2 better than CA1 (which I found quite dull tbh) but it lacked a bit on the plot front. I adored every scene featuring Natasha (ugh, she's so gorgeous and my absolute favourite *__*) and/or Falcon. :D After Tumblr is basically drowning in Bucky/Sebastian Stan posts I expected him to feature heavily in the movie which - oddly - wasn't the case. Considering he is the Winter Soldier it 's strange he has so little screen time.
If i remember correctly CA3 is scheduled for a May (6th) 2016 release.
<3 <3 And of course I had lovely friends like you in mind when watching those villains. <3
I know! I thought Seb Stan was going to be in the movie a LOT more. Kind of like what happened with Q in the movie where Ben Whishaw played Q. Natasha is pretty kick ass, but her make up bothered me. Like, her face looked unnaturally dark to me.
May 2016? I guess they need to actually make it, but damn that's a long wait.
Since I only watched a slightly blurry CAM rip of the movie, I can't quite form an opinion about Natasha's make up. *ahem* I just love her character so much, she's fierce and kicks ass. I wish they'd make a Black Widow movie...
CA1 came out in 2011, so they made people wait 3 years for CA2. Waiting 'only' 2 years for CA3 is probably the better option. Meanwhile I'm looking forward to Avengers: Age of Ultron next May. :D
Have you not seen CA1 yet? I have to admit - I liked it better than CA2. (And, yes, the bad guy there is German, but it's WWII, so at least that makes sense.) Like you said, many of the fight/chase scenes went on too long. And I didn't think there were nearly as many good lines as there could have been, given how many there were in other Marvel movies. (I did, however, like it when Steve is on the elevator, realizes he's surrounded, and asks, "Before we begin, does anyone want to get off?" :-D)
I can't believe I forgot to comment on this, when I encouraged you so much to go see it :) I loved this movie. Like, I wonder at myself how much I loved it. Loved the action sequences, loved how grounded and realistic it seemed (even though we're talking about 90+ year-old super soldiers), loved the interactions between the characters, all of it. The only thing I didn't like was when that scene with the councilwoman kicking ass turned out to be Natasha. We were all so disappointed at the reveal :)
Yes, the world needs more Sebastian Stan, scruffy and with eyeliner. I firmly believe he can cure disease with his delicious Winter Soldier look.

LOL. You are right. I had no idea. I can see that MCU is a huge franchise though.
