And I am doing that part perfectly, at the moment. I'm just feeling so insufficient and IMperfect.  Ugh.  The brainweasels are rampant ( Read more... )

You're too hard to yourself. Being imperfect is "perfectly" fine. *hugs*

Ugh. Thank you. I keep trying to remember all these things, but it's hard when I feel so full of fail. /o\ ::hugs::

You are super and your quilt-squid is super. HUGS.

That Superbetter thing sounds pretty neat--ought I to make an account there, I wonder? Or would that just be more time wasted on the internets? Hm. Let me know how it goes for you, if you do get into it.

Aw. Thanks bb. I appreciate hearing this.

I will keep people posted about Superbetter! I think I will set up myself and the kids on it tomorrow. <3

Perfect people are boring and intimidating. Just enjoy your imperfections!

Thank you for the awesome reminder. I find other people's imperfections charming and my own annoying. <3

I saw this mug online the other day. Sounds like maybe we both could use it. ;-) Certainly, my kids never hesitate to let me know when I'm being imperfect. :-P And, yes, I consider you inspirational, because you do things your own special way, you're very involved with your kids, and you seem much better than I am at carving out time for yourself - writing, quilting, singing, dancing.

LOL. Yeah, nothing like kids to take you down several notches!

Thank you. I think you are way more involved with your kids than I am. I am pretty sure you do a lot more volunteering at school than I do, for one. Plus you sit down and help them with their homework. I'm so laissez faire, it's not even funny. Well, not completely laissez faire, but to a large extent.

Fandom stuff and quilting are my anti-depressants. I have to do those. Singing, dancing... those have been priorities for a long time. I am working on balance this year. I want to be available/present for my family, not hiding in fandom or quilting!
