Yeah... I am not worried about the heat wave so much as I am worried about how will I cool off there if there's no air-conditioning. Aack! It was 105 in my car yesterday when I got in it to go home from work. Heat is the worse. Cold is preferable I think at least for me.

I was thinking about that too. Definitely easier to deal with the cold. I hope it breaks by the time we go over!

I wouldn't call it g-rated, given the swearing (which MiniPlu was making a face at), but the video was hilarious, indeed. I especially liked the "I'm genuinely concerned with how often I need to censor things in my videos" bit. :D Poor lad. I definitely did feel sorry for them in the heat, knowing that a/c is pretty rare. Even Kate ditched her royal cottage to seek a/c'd refuge with her parents.

Oops! Sorry about that. I didn't even notice the swearing and I wasn't thinking I was going to post it when I watched it, so I wasn't watching as though my kids were watching over my shoulder.

I definitely feel sorry for them in England. Not having a/c is brutal.

That is genuinely funny, and haven't we all tried at least one of those methods to try and cool down? (Not ice down the pants though / never that!)

LOL at the ice down the pants, right? I can't imagine life without a/c even though I grew up without it. Ugh. So uncomfortable.

Isn't it pretty cool for you now though?

The first thing we did when we bought this house was put in aircon!

It is pretty cool, being the middle of winter, but having said that we had 22 degrees the other day and while its cold today its sunny (does make me worry about water reserves in summer though, having just come out of a drought, i hope we're not in for another one)

:) we put in our a/c a year after we bought when our window unit broke.

LOL, YES. We'll complain about anything. Though we do get our extremes here too. Sometimes. But when we went house hunting it was on our list of "MUST HAVE" that the house be airconditioned, lol. And it had to have at least one fireplace that burned actual wood, in case the power got knocked out.
