I surely will! He is Anton Yelchin. He plays Chekov in the new Star Trek movies.

Ah, yes. He's an ensign and just a general dogsbody. There was a reboot in 2009 and last week a new movie that followed the 2009 movie.

Your cave is right next to mine. Nice and dark and cozy:D

I haven't seen the Star Trek sequel but I'm planning to this summer...hopefully in June. I did see the first film in 2009 and I thought Chekov was pretty cool. I'm not that familiar with Star Trek as a whole, but after really enjoying the 2009 reboot, I look forward to seeing the latest film. :D Awesome that you have some great icons of him. :)

:) I grew up watching TOS and I caught some of TNG and very little of DS9, so I actually like these movies better than if I'd been a fan later.

I thought the 2009 reboot was good, although the women completely disappeared by the end. Into Darkness has it's own issues, but I will tell you that I was glued to my seat for the second half in spite of the fact that I really really really had to pee:D

Yay for fun new icons!

I got sucked into Harry Potter more than anything else and reading all the HP fanfics (zeroing in on fics with my ships like I do for Merlin now). I was more interested in boybands before that...oh the '90s. :p I was aware of Star Trek and Star Wars... I did see the newer Star Wars films when they came out...so much drama. But Star Trek wasn't on my radar.

My friend told me that fans were able to publish their Star Trek fanfics and make money from them in the days before the internet. And that there was a lot of Kirk/Spock slash, which is understandable. :p I rather liked Bones in the 2009 reboot -- his introduction was one of my favorite parts.

I've had that happen before -- needing to go while watching a movie in the theater. Urgh...it bites. Especially when it was a movie I wanted to see and I didn't want to miss anything. Good to know the second half of Into Darkness was really good. :)

Star Trek was really the first fandom where slash took off, from what I understand. I mean, the "slash" comes from people labeling Spock/Kirk. No portmanteaus in those days!

Wait. People were making money on fanfic? That was not my understanding.

Bones in ST 2009 is pretty damn cute.

I always have to pee, so I can often wait longer than I think. :D

Anton is a doll, and Chekov was my favorite in the first film, well, second to Doc McCoy, that is.

Anton is exactly that. A doll baby! God.

I can't even tell you who I paid attention to in the first film. Probably Kirk and Spock mostly. I have been watching Wrath of Khan and I know I saw that in the theater 30 years ago. Gad. I am old. And cranky. LOL.
