Ok, I am officially pulling out of PL. I want to do this story on my own terms at my own pace. So, this frees me up to cheerlead all of you writing! I am happy to read snippets, brainstorm, etc. I probably cannot actually beta a PL story. Yay for doing fandom the way that makes me happy. Um, to that end, I've dropped a few people off my flist. I

I'm glad you made it official about pulling out of PL. You know best about what you'd prefer to do and what's best for your story. I'm wondering if I could finish my Merlin Muses story by Monday -- it's looking a bit bleak at the moment. Oo And it feels like I haven't worked on my PL in forever. Looking bad on the fic-writing front for me. OMG. But I'll work something out...*famous last words* :p

Mmmm, yummy screencaps are yummy. I was going to choose one or two to post and then couldn't decide, so I posted them all. LOL.

Yeah, I think I'm not cut out for fests in general. Small ones, ok, but a big one, too much pressure for this gal. It's win/win in the end because I've still got this big story to tell. I just get to produce it on my timeline and now I have time to cheerlead and do other things. Maybe next week I'll make a vid to Some Nights!

Yes definitely. I remember people being so interested in the word "clotpole" when Merlin said it in the S2 premiere...some were wondering how to spell it and what it meant (more so those who weren't from the UK at least :p).

Yeah, with me, small fests don't work too well because I lean toward writing longer fics. Like a few hundred words just isn't enough for me...need more room to tell the story (a few thousand words at least). I participated in the mini-Merlin Big Bang a few years ago because of the lower min. word limit -- thought I could handle it better. And I ended up with a 30K+ story. That gave me some confidence that I could do PL in the future. :p

Thank you for the encouragement! I have my Merlin Muses story planned out for the most part, it's just having the time to finish it and insuring the story doesn't sound rushed as I approach the end. ;) And I need a beta...feel so bad that I'm really cutting it close to the deadline. Thanks for the brainstorming offer...might take you up on that for my PL story.

It's so nice to know that's there room for all of us in fandom, isn't it?

LOL. I think I can write a longer story, but we'll see. I do tend to prefer stories around 2-3K I think though.

Thanks! Yeah. Too many commitments and other things I wanted to do. I didn't feel like I had the breathing space I really needed, so yeah, it feels good. I'm feeling actually interested in it again :D
