Monday morning cheer

Dec 10, 2012 08:59

There are not a whole lot of things that I get really excited about.  You already know that Merlin and quilting are two things I am passionate about.  Well, another is bluegrass music. I don't listen to it as often I could/should, but I was listening this morning and this song came on and I feel compelled to share it.  It's grey and wet and gloomy ( Read more... )

How are you, bb? I haven't heard from you much lately and been wondering if you are okay.

Thank you for your lovely beta, also. I haven't had a chance to do more work on it because I am betaing for k_nightfox at the moment, but I hope to finish it soon! :)

I'm great! I've been busy with replying to comments on my lj, trying to write PWP, betaing, and you know, actual life stuff. Thanks for thinking of me. I was thinking about you too, wondering if you were ok!

Any time! I know the feeling. Let me know if you want more comments!

Also, you are a rock star for beta'ing that fic. I can't read fics that long. I think I have ADD.

Do you have the day off? ♥

I do have the day off, actually. I am planning on finishing the rest of the beta in one fell swoop. I also have a fic to write for the CD challenge (I was stumped with the topic, but then found a great inspirational twist, so I'm good) as well as for the CD holidays thing.

Oh, and like normal stuff like cleaning, laundry, and other sundry funness (not).

Well, I KNOW I have ADD (ADHD, actually), but I can hyperfocus on the good stuff so I'm all set! (It's the dishes and laundry that suffer!)

OMG. The sundry stuff is killing me today. Or rather, I'm not even getting to the sundry stuff. ARGH.

Yay for fannish stuff. The other stuff can wait.

Oooh. Yeah, I don't really have ADD. But there is definitely a little hamster running my brain today:P

Off to buy a ticket for dh now.

Thanks!

Er, what other music are you referring to? The one I linked to last week?

Well, Chanukah is a Hebrew word so there is no one correct spelling. It depends on which transliteration system you use. I prefer Chanukah because, to me, it most closely resembles the Hebrew letters used.

Oh. I do relax sometimes. We often listen to music in the morning. But tv and fanfic and sewing are relaxing for me, usually.

Nope. There is never universal agreement about anything, I think :D

lol!!! We're planning to be there in June, also!! I'm hoping to be camping at Canyon for about week with Jim, my youngest kid and my mom-in-law in early-mid June...haven't confirmed dates, yet though. :-)

Um, it's a National Park with lots of geothermal features? :D

Thanks! I suppose latkes (fried potato pancakes) are a traditional food, but really, anything fried works. It's a festival about oil, after all:D

Hee hee. We'll see if I can hack it. If I can't manage a sea fan, I'll do coral instead.

Ugh. I hope the grim meeting didn't turn out to be so grim in the end. I spent about 45 minutes purchasing the airline ticket for dh (website wasn't working and the person I talked to on the phone took forever... but she was darling and very nice and helpful, plus she sorted out my mistake (I had booked tickets for us to come back a day early *facepalm*).

Ah. My dad wanted to take the kids there. Initially, I was under the impression it would be lik the Cayman Island trip with just us, basically, but then he invited both my sisters and my brother and his family plus his father in law. It's gotten a little out of control. It does seem like a very interesting place to visit. My dad took us to a bunch of different National Parks when I was growing up, so this is not a new thing for him:)

Hee hee. I can see why it is magic with kids. I should play it for my kids in a bit!
