I survived!

O. M. G. I survived the evil relative. She was pretty well behaved, I didn't feel offended in my own house, and I got to leave after an hour and a half. It was really about as perfect as it gets. Plus, dh and the kids were very glad to see her. So, that was a good thing to do.  And it got me out of cooking a real dinner, so it worked out fine.

Thanks! Yeah, it was really not so bad. I don't think she said anything offensive and she and her friend gushed over my quilts, so it worked out ok. ♥ Thanks for thinking of me.

By the way, how goes the story? The NC17 one? Cause I want it.. :D

I only got home about 20 mins. ago, so nothing new yet. (But DD should be going to bed very soon...and then I'll go to town on it! ;) )

I'm glad your aunt in law behaved. My in laws were *famous* for calling us freaking last minute and saying, "Oh, we'll see you tomorrow..." like we had NO lives and could just accommodate them whenever. When I finally put my foot down one time when we actually HAD alternate plans (and wouldn't change them for THEM), we had a rift that literally lasted years.

(Of course, with Don gone now, I am apparently my MILs new bestie...because no one else can understand her pain except me, apparently. Oh, well... I think my husband would like me keeping tabs on his mom anyway. She's not so bad if I don't have to deal with my FIL. He's a real piece of work!)
