Anyone want to support me writing a crossover of Merlin and Warehouse 13? I was thinking I'd send Claudia and someone else back to Merlin and Arthur and have some fun

I guess it's because I don't socialize with kids the ages of my kids. Also, and this is a much more distant concern which would hopefully never be an issue, I have irrational fears about CPS (child protective services) coming after me.
I think it also makes me uneasy to realize that kids as young as my daughter are reading fanfic on the internet even though everyone I know started when they were like 12.
And maybe part of it is that I wasn't thinking of writing to young audiences when I was writing my stories. I was targeting a slightly older audience.
I am not posting anything explicit on ff.net. Nooooo. But still, I worry. So, that's why I'd prefer not to know. Sometimes ignorance is bliss:)
Oh, bless you. Your perspective is exactly what I needed. Right. Not socializing, just sharing stories.
Very good point. I have also shared that I am on LJ/DW and AO3 in my profile, so they have access to racier stories, although they have to go to the other sites to find them.
Oh, no one told me how old they were. I looked at a profile.
DD1 is 10 which is only a year from the 11-15 year old range someone listed.
I know that plenty of other kids are reading a range, but I am not ready for my kids to be reading racy stuff. DD1 has elected not to read The Hunger Games, which puts her out of step with her peers. She tends to like much more homey sorts of stories, although she is starting to read some fantasy, which makes me quite happy:D
In fifth grade (age 10), I was reading pretty tame stuff. :D
Ah. Ok. I wasn't sure if "exclusive" meant I had sent it in an email or what exactly:D Thanks!
Oh, it looks like I was able to make the changes to that story that I asked about on ff.net, so don't worry about replying to that comment. Or any others, for that matter:D
I wouldn't worry about the kids' ages. They are going to find fic with or without your posting it. I do agree that I really don't want to know their ages. Jeez.
I think if the gift was not exclusive, you should be free to post it on ff.n. I post all my non-NC17 stories there.
Quickly: I'm trying it out. I've heard you get more feedback there. I think there is just a lot more traffic there too. It's been around for quite a while. Off to swim with the whole family. Back later:D
There was no internet when I was 11-15, and I had no idea what fanfiction was, but I grew up on Anne Rice's books which is almost as good:) (or bad, depends). Nowadays I'm feeling old on the net everywhere, on ffnet, in chatrooms, everywhere. I just don't care anymore. I post explicit fics both on ffnet and AO3. AO3 is also an open site, everyone can read it. You can't do anything about that. The warning is there, if they want to read it, it's their decision. I don't think anyone would hold you responsible. It's not like you seek out kids and recommend your explicit stuff for them to read.
