Falling

I have two nights of really crappy sleep and too much to do in the day, so I'm up for a 15 minute drabble!  Prompt is VIOLENCE.  Go!

In other news, dh is home today and mostly functional, so I was able to run two errands this morning and then attend a memorial service for a quilter I've known since I started quilting over 10 years ago.  I was glad ( Read more... )

Kilgharrah chafed at the shackle. He rubbed flesh against rock, trying in vain to rid himself of the filthy iron. He contemplated chewing his foot off, had even attempted it, but also knew that the permanent loss of a foot would be greater than the temporary loss of freedom.

Scratching at a loose scale, he found an unexpected pleasure in digging a little deeper. The itch, satiated, grew to a small pain. As he worked the scale free, tugging with his teeth and prodding with his tongue, he lost himself in the feeling, expanding it to occupy all his thoughts.

*claps* Yay! I am glad I could surprise you. I really do want the whole shebang when it comes to writing. I want to be able to write it all.

I'm doodling with an idea here. I don't know what will come of it, but I was feeling kind of overwhelmed and thought if I did it in a drabble, it might help free some of the story.

I was alone and there were ten of them. I was so very afraid of what they would do to me. They just stood there, accusing me of something I hadn’t done. I wanted to scream but instead laughter shook my whole body, I didn’t have an idea where that had come from.

That got them even angrier.

„What are you laughing at? Am I that funny?” she hissed.

Suddenly a teacher poked her head into the room and I was relieved but she quickly excused herself and left.

“You’re pitiful.” That earned me a good punch in the chest.

Wow. I found this very interesting. So many layers/levels going on here.

There is the obvious violence in the bullying, but also the violence of the teacher seeing there is a problem and withdrawing. And what about the violence of her body betraying her with laughter.

So rich! Well done.

Thank you! This was my first thought when I read the word violence. This happened to me in high school when I was 16. Not so good memories.

Oh my goodness. This did not go where I expected at all. I thought Kirk was going to say something about it being about flirting. Now I want to know what Spock did to get that reaction:) Very cute and funny!
