Ok, here are my rules for the drabbles. 100 words. No less. No more. Write for 15 minutes. You can use my prompt or not, as you wish. Write in whatever language you like. Can be fanfic, original, poetry, non-fiction. The point here is to loosen up. Try not to edit too much. Think of these as imperfect cookies: they may not look

“There?”
“No. Here, give me your hand. There, a little to the left.”
“Oooh, yeah. It’s pink!”
“Uh hunh. Now, look over there. See the three stars that are in a skewed line? That’s Orion’s Belt, and his sword hangs from it. Two stars above it are his shoulders.”
“Mmm, okay. Got it. Belt, sword, shoulders.” A finger waved in the air, tracing the outline.
“And over there is Draco, the Great Dragon. See the head? And then the tail winds around the Little Dipper.”

I totally cheated. I had to do research for this one. I know two constellations, but this Merlin is a total stargazing nerd:D
(This is the Merlin and Arthur from my computer wizard 'verse.)

“Yes, it’s green and has big wings.” Gaius said and gave the young man a meaningful look.
“And all these people saw it?” Merlin looked around the attic which was crowded with the sick now. More and more came every hour and there were other temporary infirmaries all over the castle.
This was madness, and he knew no one was able to stop it. If anyone could, it would be him. He thought of Arthur. The prince was probably out there somewhere in the lower town. He hoped against hope that he would be all right.

If wishes were dragons, then all Pern would fly, Sami reminded herself. Her thighs ached from the long walk, and the light on the water from the hot sun dazzled her eyes, but the fire-lizard nest she sought was now before her.
She had found it the week before, and told no one. It was not that she hoped to Impress all the fire-lizards herself; far from it. Sami's hope was to watch a wild hatching and learn more about the lizards' natural behavior, and later apply her new knowledge to the watch-whers she was responsible for in her Hold.

I was wondering how it would feel to write fanfic of an author I really adored and respected, but I guess you've really been doing that for years now anyway.

Glad you enjoyed! This is the first time I've written anything set in Pern, actually.
Now I really need a dragon icon, don't I?
