Is it Mother's Day for you? Because it's someone's birthday at my house, so Mother's Day is pretty much a non-event for me today. (DD2, my baby, is 7 today. 0.o) The kids did make me little cards which was nice, I suppose (but I suck at keeping these things).

Ugh, I feel that way too, about hating Mother Nature this morning. When I woke up, it was already light and I saw the time and I felt like, oh, I have to get up soon (another hour).

Still, we have very nice weather today. It's supposed to pour tomorrow.

Hee hee. Except she wasn't born on Mother's Day. That year, Mother's Day was the Sunday before she was born. She was born on Friday.

Happy Birthday to DD2! We had mother's day a week ago and we went to visit my grandma's grave with my mom, and bought her a beautiful bouquet. I don't think it's the nicest thing to spend that day in a cemetery but my mom always wants to go.

Happy belated birthday to DD!

It was Mother's Day here, too, last Sunday. It was a pretty low key affair really, which is the way I like it - breakfast in bed and just relaxing all day.

We had lunch out with my mum, sister and her family on the Saturday, and that was great. I hate going to restaurants on mother's/father's day as they're so crowded and the restaurants use it as an excuse to jack the prices up! So the day before was a perfect compromise.

You are so lucky. With my parents here, low key was not in the cards. We went to some crab place half an hour away. It was crowded and a pain in the butt:P But we had fun anyway.
