Where does the time slip away to?

Yesterday I spent the whole day watching chicks hatch.  I determined not to lose the whole day and be productive.  I got stuff done.  Most of it was not on the computer, alas;)  Laundry, grocery shopping, picking kids up and watching cute little fluff balls and being social with people face to face.  I even did a teeny bit of food prep.  I have Read more... )

OMG, the fluff factor at my house has skyrocketed! You think my fic is fluffy? It does not compare to these chicks. And it definitely can't compete with my kids talking to the chicks in high squeaky voices:D

Aww, cute little chickens, I just want to hug them. And, wow, 11 of them? So much fluffiness ;).

The fluff factor is very high at my house. We are taking 8 of them away tomorrow afternoon. 11 is a bit much, in addition to some ducks, for more than a few days.

The babychickens are adorable. What are you gonna do with them then?

I know what you mean about time... we've already may and I ask myself seriously where the heck the last 5 months went. I mean... already half of 2012 is gone... *sigh*

Anyway... back to cleaning - although cheatcleaning because I just have to vacuum and sort through some papers;)

The big stuff will be done tomorrow.

Send them back! I'm taking 8 away tomorrow. We will keep three for another week. Hopefully we will have some ducks next week to join these guys.

Ack. *grabs on to the time* I hate it that time just slips away like that.

Hey, that sounds awesome. I have to clean up the mess my husband made in the kitchen with his baking adventures last night (just lots of dishes).

Sounds good.

Ducks like in babyducks? How come?

Btw I think it's great that your children can experience hatching chicks and all that directly. Do you live in the city or more in a rural area? Because as great as my parents were/are, in our small appartment it would have been impossible to do such a project.

But your husband's mess means yummy backing for you:)

Ducks as in baby ducks, yes. Same reason as the chicks. Because I want to try.

We live in a pretty suburban area. Our house is 1K square feet. Pretty small, but we don't have any pets, so it's not a problem. We are taking most of the chicks in tomorrow.

LOL. I won't eat most of it. It's for a potluck event over the weekend.
