Look what we woke up to this morning! Chick count, according to dh at 6:45 this morning was "a bunch". Clarification revealed that number to be 3, but fifteen minutes later, another one escaped. bb chickies! I just watched another one hatch. There goes my entire day. I'm going to be watching chickens hatch all day.

SO exciting! We saw a newly-hatched (as in, less than an hour) chick at the Boston Museum of Science, and another one with a tiny hole. Wish we could have seen the second one hatch, too. Are some of those different breeds? It looks like you've either got different eggs in there, or some rocks.

Yay indeed! I just took a video of one hatching. I'm going to see if I can upload the video to the picasa album.

I didn't have time to share the video with the girls yet, but hopefully tomorrow. Awwww! How many chicks do you have now? (How many eggs did you start with?)

I hope you share the videos with your girls. I had a blast watching the eggs hatch and the last one today was viewed by my niece over skype!

We started with 12 eggs and we have 11 chicks. I can't even believe we got so many. Now they are peeping like crazy and driving us a little nuts, but they are so dang cute.

We have four duck eggs that we are hoping will hatch next week.

LOL! Someone else suggested we name one of them Aithusa:D I hadn't considered naming them. They are all going to look alike, I think. I'll let the girls decide.

LOL. When they are just hatched, they are not cute. You can watch the first video and see what I mean:)
