Are you looking for feedback? Not being familiar with the show, I can't speak to that part of it, but on the writing front I've got a couple of ideas if you want them.
You have my email, yes? Shoot me an email. I'm not going to fix this, but I would (theoretically) like to fix the longer story. I'd rather discuss fixes in email than on this post:D
Hee:D Thanks. lewisian_gneiss said the same thing (I assume you are talking about the "special whistle" here). I've been trying to incorporate humor into the pieces as well as serious stuff because that's what I love about the show so much.
This was quite nice, it made me smile. I'd always thought it was hot as fuck when Merlin got all dragon-lordy, the contrast is always so powerful between the 'idiot servant' and the legendary wizard Merlin is fated to be.
I am way too in love with Merlin and Arthur. yay for time off from work, spent way more time than I should watching vids about them and fangirling. I think there's so much legend and background on dragons that hasn't been used in this show that has so much potential. But instead it's all 'and now sneaky morgana did this.' And it's like
Gaius: "Merlin, you must promise me you won't __."
*five microseconds later* Gaius: "Merlin, I told you not to __!"
:) Merlin is judicious in his use of dragonspeak. The end of my merlinadvent pieces features some more dragonspeak. http://jelazakazone.livejournal.com/tag/challenge will get you there pretty easily. Check out the last three three days of Melrinadvent.
