If you have a young daughter, please ask her "If I were a [blank], I'd [blank] to the store" and let me know what she filled in the blanks with. I will tell you what my girls said later and why I'm asking.
I did see your next entry, but I hadn't at the time I left the comment. :) I thought it was interesting - and also boring - that both girls said "go" to the store, rather than something related to the "thing" they had chosen. Do you consider that to be suppressed creativity, or just because I only gave them one chance to respond?
Ariel said "If I were a person, I'd drive to the store" (I guess she's implying she's NOT a person! heehee). Rachael said "If I were a person, I'd go to the store." She didn't hear her sister's answer.
