DD1 is clearly entering the world of the literate.  DD2 was confused about what we were eating for dessert and she kept saying "grapes"?  DD1 corrected her by saying, "it's kind of like grapes, but with a "c" instead":)

We were amused that she almost got the spelling correct! DD2, of course, has no comprehension of how spelling works, so it's kind of funny to hear a six year old telling a three year old that the word she wants starts with a different letter:)

It's pretty adorable when DD1 does the protective/knowledgeable big sister routine, though.

I have to say that sometimes that schtick is cute and sometimes it's annoying. It can be very helpful, but there are times that DD2 just needs to learn something herself and DD1 can be overprotective.
