I was supposed to have a morning to myself, but after one look at DD1's eyes, I knew that was not to be.  I took her in and sure enough, it's pink eye:P  So, we went to the pharmacy and then to the dollar store.  Now I'm home.  In a messy house.  With no free time to myself.  On two nights of crappy sleep. *throws pity party for self*  And of

Ugh to the pinkeye and lack of free time. You KNOW I sympathize about scuttled plans like that. Hope she's better soon and that no one else catches it. But the anecdote is awfully cute. :D

Ugh, I'm sorry. We got pinkeye last year, and since Maggie snuggles in bed with me each morning, I do mean "we." I had never had it, so it was traumatic the first couple of days, but I got good medicine that didn't sting and cleared it right up. The pediatric nurse didn't have this one, but the nurse at my doctor's office did -- "change/wash the pillowcases every day" until you're done with your medicine. I did the same with the hand towels. Yes, lots of laundry, but better than puking or lice.

This is our third go-round with pinkeye, so I'm pretty used to it. We skipped one year, but we started when DD1 was almost 4 and have basically had it once a year since then.

I am not going to do that much laundry. I figure that it will be enough to wash today.

We haven't had lice. I expect that our chances of getting it are low given that my kids don't let me wash their hair:). Lice like clean heads.

It's much better than puke, that's for sure. At least she's happy and can play with her sister.
