Trying to do the right thing for my kids

Thanks. It does make me wonder if we should run back tomorrow and get the resin fillings instead. Argh and argh. It's in my job description to beat myself up. Seriously.

I probably wouldn't worry about it. Everyone I know has regular fillings and none of them are dead due to them. Though, I don't think the kids have white fillings, so that would be resin? FWIW, I have one resin filling and I have had the most problems with it. I got it because it was a more forward tooth and didn't want the filling showing. But it is always sensitive to hot and cold foods and the dentist told me I probably need it refilled. Argh. It's the most recent filling I've had (about 10 years old).

The white fillings are resin; metal are amalgam. I'm going to try not to worry:P

DH just read me some statistic that resin fillings only last 7-8 years. I have one resin filling that I've had for much longer than that.

Teeth suck.

Out of curiousity, how long do regular fillings last? Does he have that stat handy since it's something you guys were looking up?

I think he said something like 15 years. I don't remember exactly.
