I feel like we got a lot done this weekend. I, personally, did some cooking, went and visited a friend who had a baby a couple weeks ago, went to a dance, went to a Shape Note sing, helped dh look for a backpack (read: went to store and watched girls wreak havoc in store while dh leisurely perused the backpacks; at least I gave him a time limit ( Read more... )

You've never seen Toy Story? You should - both are very cute. The first one is a little bit darker, I think - a mean kid likes to destroy or mangle toys - but it's only a little bit so. All the toy characters are really engaging, IMO, and it's worth watching.

Hmm, well, if we have the opportunity, maybe we will. I've also heard really good things about The Incredibles.

I was surprised that you'd never seen Risky Business (I think that's the one). It's been a long time since I've seen it, but it is a classic. How can you not like a movie with Tom Cruise dancing in his underwear:)?

Eh, not a huge Tom Cruise fan. I've seen him in the first Mission Impossible, A Few Good Men and ... I think that might be it. Saw a scene or two of Rain Man, but not the whole thing.

Oh, and the Incredibles IS really good, but it's more of a Big Kid movie, in our opinion. Or rather - I'd see it first without your kids, and then decide what you think.
