I spend too much time watching Angel and Buffy.

I just got home from seeing Twilight. (Yeah, I saw it. Yeah, it was mostly to see Robert Pattinson.)

The whole movie was full of major hotness, a lot having to do with the colors and the way it was shot and man there was some beautiful scenery. Pretty amazing ( Read more... )

I noticed that in previews, too, and thought it was pretty lame.

For the record, I probably won't be seeing the movie, either, but the things you mentioned, I did notice in the previews, and did find to be pretty impressive.

I think it's worth watching (on dvd maybe) just for some of the cool stuff. The colors just... pop, in a weird way, even though most of the colors are dark.

I consider it more eye candy than anything else.

Yeah, I totally saw that on Tuesday. *Shifty eyes*

There was indeed much hotness and I too liked the cool (literally) colors.
It really made me miss the Northwest. Apparently most of it was filmed in Portland!

I saw another Vampire movie tonight, a Swedish one called "Let the Right One In." Heard of it/seen it? I think you'd like it.
It's way different and creepier and more vampirically accurate if such a thing can be said :P
But I liked it.

I however cannot get fucking Twilight out of my head and will probably have to go see it again (esp if it's playing at a theater I don't have to pay for)

I had neither seen nor heard of it. (It's been a while since I roamed a video store for new titles or browsed Netflix. Ack, I'm missing out!)

That sounds good and disturbing. I'll have to check it out. It also sounds like something to get my online Secret Santa person who is obsessed with Sweden.

You know what movie I love (and own) even though I usually don't like stuff in the Horror section? Queen of the Damned! A serious guilty pleasure.

I might have to see Twilight again too. (Or ask my dad if his bootlegging friend has it.) I'm a sucker for ridiculous romances. (Haha. Sucker.)

PS: I miss you!

Yeah! There's a big thing in the paper here about how they filmed at locations such as Madison High School.

UM DUDE.
As a closet Twihard, I must defend the vampires of the series.
These vampires SPARKLE in the sunlight - and only direct sunlight.
Overcast days (which are plentiful in Washington state) are just damn fine.

Which makes them a million times more deadly and more awesome!!!

I insist that you read the books. INSIST.

I know that they sparkle, but my frustration is at the fact that Every Other vampire movie/series I've seen/followed has them catch fire in sunlight. That's why I made that comment. (Because the vampires of Twilight are so different from "normal" vampires that I'm used to.)

But the more deadly thing hadn't really crossed my mind. That's true.

I was definitely planning to read the books. I'll let you know how it goes.

Sorry, I realize that comment was a little fangirl insane. I didn't mean to internet-yell. *laughs*

The way they did the sparkle in the movie was stupid; I had imagined it a lot...better...she describes it better than it was depicted anyway.

But yeah, they do break several of the normal vamp rules...and there is an undertone of Save it For Marriage-ness to the series, which is annoying and silly.

I kind of want to see that too actually, and I'll take any what the fuck is this kind of vampire nonsense with a grain of salt and a chuckle.
