In July 2008, I posted a list of dreams and goals for my life. What would I include in that list today?

1. Become like Apollos of Alexandria, who was "mighty in the Scriptures" (Acts 18:24-28)
2. Grow in joyful trust of "the God of the living" (Mark 12:27)
3. Learn more recipes and invite many people to my house for meals (Leviticus 19:18; ( Read more... )

Dear Megan thank you for your reciprocal blessing! Much to be thankful for, but many challenges. My wife and I went to a lovely Christian wedding yesterday and are now sitting reading the Sunday newspapers together in a very companionable way. That is good!

We had a Polish friend with us to day for an afternoon during her visit to London, which was again something to be thankful for.

One of our daughters is not attending church which is a source of some pain and two of the others have big challenges in their working life and studies. My wife and i both await guidance as to where God wants us to be involved in transformation this year, so that is a sense of excitement, but, as our Polish friend said, it is sometimes a little scary to pray to the Lord for an interesting life!!
