This is related to what I've been working on recently. Here is brief glimpse at my perspective:
I have part of this problem like crazy. Computers and hypertext are pretty unhelpful in this regard. I've learnt about so many things, but only to the point where I can talk about them--not where I have a deep understanding

Thank you so much for your comments, Oliver. I was hoping that you would comment on this entry, because I was really curious to hear what thoughts you would have

> Do I need to address the root of "needing to seem busy"?
I think yes, that's the point. This constant business is a mistake and it drains us of our life energy. When I have nothing to do, I try to... just do nothing, to sit and enjoy peace and inactiveness.
It's same like with people who can't stand silence, they always have to have a radio playing or smth. That's a weakness and a sort of addictive behaviour.
Yes, you're right. It really does drain all the energy away. I'm starting to think about what you said about enjoying inactiveness. It goes against my nature, but it really does feel much better than trying to keep running in circles.
You're welcome. Yes, it goes against our habbits since we were never actually taught to enjoy our being whether it's being busy or idle. We were always taught we have to do something constantly, get involved into this and that, and that being idle is bad, it means laziness etc. And that's why most of us are fairly unhappy, not of perfect health and stuff.
When you have real insight you start to really understand and organize the life you want, and that's a beautiful thing!
That sounds wonderful :) I should start listing out the things that I like to spend time on and the things that take a lot of time but aren't as fulfilling. That way, maybe I can focus on the best things and leave the other things to the side.
