Tonight my father and I made cookies. Well, he made the cookies and I helped to eat the batter! As is now our tradition, we watched a Spaghetti Western while doing so. It was quite fun, though I think I had too much sugar for one night ( Read more... )

Yeah! I wanted to save the uneaten half of the batter, but my dad refused. We were making cookies to give away, so I had to make the sacrifice!

I moved to Georgia about 8 months ago. I came from the city life, light pollution, not much animal life, palm trees, well, the beach was beautiful... but my point is, one of the first things that changed my out look when I moved here was the stars in the sky. In Miami, you can see a couple of stars, but here, here you see thousands! And I am left awe stricken - The beautiful leaves turning colors in the Fall, the branches that dwell all around me now... it reminds me of a song by Shawn McDonald - he says "... as I look into the stars wondering how far away they are, how You hold them in your hands, and still You know this man. You know my inner most being Lord, even better then I know myself. What a beautiful God...As I look off into the distance watching the sun roll on by, beautiful colors all around me, painted all over the sky, and the same hands that created all of this they created you and I"

Shabbat Shalom, darling.

That is a beautiful song - thank you for sharing!

When I think about how powerful God is, I just feel mind-boggled! And His love for us is just so far beyond all my understanding... "He is altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me." I can't wait for the day when we can worship Him all together in peace and righteousness. Until then, may God fill us with His Spirit that we might worship Him in Spirit and in truth, full of joy and thanksgiving, each and every day :)

"To grant us that we,
Being delivered from the hand of our enemies,
Might serve Him without fear,
In holiness and righteousness before Him all the days of our life." -Luke 1:74-75
