Yeah.  So right now I'm surviving on a heady mix of Vaseline, Vicks, paracetamol and ibruprofen.  My English teacher told me today that I was too ill to be in school, so I went home at lunchtime - the same as yesterday.  Maybe I shouldn't really be going into school at all, but I have nineteen days in school left before exams start and so I'm not ( Read more... )

For headaches I recommend using Aspirin instead of Paracetamol. It has the same effect (just make sure you're not allergic to it, and you're probably not) but works faster and better.
At least that's my experience. It could be just me though, but when I have a headache and take a paracetamol it takes between 20 and 40 minutes before I get the effect, and with Aspirin in took 15 minutes before all the pain was gone, and it worked much better than Paracetamol.

Hope you feel better soon :)

Thanks. Me too. :]

No problem :)
I have another tip btw... I assume you're using vaseline because of dry lips or dry skin from the cold?
Mentholatum is much better. I don't know if you have it over there (I think so as it's made in Scotland)) but it's kind of a cream, but you can also get it as a chopstick.

Yeah, the Vaseline is to also soothe my sore nose; I've blown it way too many times! I'll see if I can find some of that cream.:]

I absolutely recommend it, I use it all the time.
You can probably find it in a pharmacy or drugstore.
