Now that we finally have true summer weather in New York I'm finally miserable about the weather. I can't even seem to drag myself two avenues over to do some shopping. Cool Scandinavia totally spoiled me. In the meantime I'm looking forward to the following events in New York in the early fall

Pickle Day? Is this the urban equivalent of things like strawberry festivals?

I am intrigued since one of the reasons for my periodic expeditions to New York is my fondness for full sour pickles.
