Looking through my life at the moment, I could be pretty despondent, but I'm not. There's a lot to be unhappy about, but I feel that these lows are temporary and I still have much to look forward to ( Read more... )

I really like this entry and your mindset. It's very inspiring. You're right that everyone has their things to deal with, so it's better to focus on the things you can be thankful for. I mostly try to do the same, but it certainly isn't always easy.

I'm sorry about your mom (you know I can relate), and I hope that Travis gets through the teething phase soon and gives you and Toni a reprieve!

But in the meantime, I am very happy that you have a wonderful support system and are still making the most of life by hanging with people you love and doing things that bring you joy. :)

Thank you very much! You are right that it certainly isn't easy to home in on the positives when you have the option of negatives too. Sometimes it's the easy option to wallow and say 'Look what a shit time I'm having'!

Thanks again, I know you know all to well about a parent and the scourge of time wasting their mind away, it's depressing and can never get better. At least teething can! He can only grow so many bloody teeth..!

That's much appreciated :)! Here's to celebrating life (even the tough bits.)

Balance, everything hangs in a balance, and I think one of the best skills we can have in life is being able to see where we are blessed, and what we have to be grateful for.

A night out dancing until the wee hours sounds so divine - a release of any of that pressure you may feel building from the demands and less-than-happy segments of life. What a gift!

This post feels like a comfort. It's visceral to me. I'm so glad you have love in your corner.

How easily a balance can topple over as well, that's another skill. I got asked in work this week how I stay so Zen about things, I should have probably answered with this post, thinking about it now.

Absolutely spot on! I think music and dancing is one of the most important things to embrace, it's free and can get your mood up so quickly.

Glad you got something from it too. I think if everyone felt like they had love in their corner, the planet would be so much better off.
