Jul 20, 2011 01:55

Just last night, I posted that I really couldn't see where this Murdoch phone hacking scandal was heading and who knows what twists it could take, I was being all serious and then... along comes a bloke wielding a cream pie into the inquest! Brilliant ( Read more... )

Congratulations on the new job! :)

Listening to 5 Live last night, Jacqui Smith was whinging about the bloke with the custard pie being a distraction. Not as distracting as her husband watching porn movies at our expense obviously, the trout-faced former home secretary!

Thank you :)!

It IS a distraction, for the media at least, when it comes down to it though, these enquiries still have to make a verdict and some conclusions, pie or no pie!

It's just like Junior Soprano's testimony on the stand in the Sopranos, it's doddering and all lies!

Congrats on the job, nice one!

With my job I can't say on any public forums how much i'm enjoying Murdoch getting his just desserts as the media can jump on that sort of thing. The tories and Murdoch getting a good public shafting is a delight to watch :)

Cheers! Hopefully it's new jobs all round, have you heard back about yours yet?

Not that I want to discourage you from doing that but... isn't this a public forum?! Haha, true! I wanted to slap the Tory MP Sarah Mensch on the Media Select Committee who was on the Channel 4 News last night, she'd clearly been whipped into being as kind as possible to Overlord Murdoch!

Me commenting on someone's LJ is a very different statement to saying something from my own facebook/twitter feed. There's a fine line between commenting as a person and broadcasting a view representing the company you work for ;)

I filled in the tests and did my part for the job, and asked for a job description - which is a few weeks apparently. That's good, gives me time to sort out other stuff and see if I can get my current job into a state where I'd prefer to stay. In theory i'm soon going to have a convincing argument to get a pay rise - first time ever!

Aha, so you know the boundaries very well! Nice work :)!

Sounds like you've got everything where you want it! Good luck in sorting out your current job and the potential new one!

Cheers!

It sure was! I thoroughly recommend it, if you have £30 plus means of transport to get to a venue!
