The Mars Volta 'De-Loused in a Comatorium': As mentioned in a previous entry, this ceedee is amazingly great and original. There is just an energy in the music that is undescribable. Now, that being said, TMV is definately an acquired taste. Thankfully it is one that I enjoy. ^-^ Favorite Song: Drunkenship of Lanterns

I would definetly second those first two, I love both those CDs, because they are simply amazing beyond words. Truly some of my favorites, but you should check out Infinity by GS!BE because it is alot more ambient and chilling then Yanqui UXO. And check out the Mars Volta EP as well, Tremulant I think it is... very good.. different sounds, but great none the less. Oh... if you are wondering, I found you in pounced, so meh. Kind of like a response I suppose... I will friend you, if you don't mind.

Also, what I would really suggest to look into is Mogwai, they are simply amazing... one of my current favorites. Or Blood Brothers. They are like Post Hardcore... think of a slightly more ... Louder At The Drive In, Especially Relationship of Command era ATDI.
