Technically that Star Trek wasn't really a remake. Because of the whole alternate time line thing.
And Clash of the Titans was awesome, though I never have seen the original.
And Casino Royal was a remake. Sort of.

That's all I can think of at the moment.
Let's just face it, our generation is uncreative. Look at fashion too.

Hmmm, fair point about Star Trek. I guess it's a ... Prequel? inbetween-quel? Alternate-quel? Who knows, lol.

I hear tell they're releasing a Director's Cut of Clash of the Titans. That'd be cool.

Was Casino Royale a remake? I thought they billed it as a prequel. But I've never seen it, so you'd know better than I would.

See, that's the thing, though. Our generation *is* creative, but nobody's willing to take risks anymore. Studios stay with the safe stuff - sequels and remakes - 'cause they're guaranteed to make money. When's the last time you saw an original film do really, really well? (Avatar doesn't count because the hype for that was insane.) :-P

There was another Casino Royale that was making fun of James Bond, so the new one is sort of a remake.
