The only trouble with the first of the articles on Wilson is that it refers to "the otherwise noble aims of this progressive leader." Aims like compellings Americans to fight and die in a European war, sending people to jail for long periods for criticizing the war or the draft, seizing control of the radio stations, and establishing an internal surveillance network to find people who committed disloyal acts like speaking German.

"Liberal" is an honorable word, appropriated by people who attached it to expanded government power. "Progressive" gets its roots from power-lusters T. Roosevelt and Wilson and is a much more honest word.

Engadget reviews the second-gen Compute Stick 2016…

While I do of course understand that entry, my Aggressive Retro sensibility is amused by how little of it would make any sense to someone in 1975.  But then, ham radio shop talk would be just as incomprehensible save to the cognoscenti, to whom every acronym and term would have a meaning.  What makes the current environment interesting is how terminology that back in 8-bit days was restricted to a very few techno-geeks, is now commonplace.  People may not actually know what a universal serial bus is, but they know what 'USB' means.
