• I'm really good with words. Maybe that's why a college friend said 40-odd years ago: "The trouble with you, Jeff, is that you're too damned happy!" Everything is connected, I guess, and now there's science indicating that human language is biased toward happiness.

The article on meditation hints that the problems generally arise when it's used with a "no-self" goal, to achieve detachment from one's own identity. It doesn't surprise me this can have very bad consequences. The point that science which confirms what we want to hear gets more funding and publicity is a good one.

The pun in the headline makes no sense, though.

But he has excellent taste in the actresses he depicts, including some very talented, luminously beautiful and utterly unknown Russian film actresses who would stomp all over what passes for 'acting talent' in today's Hollyweird.
