  • Yes, I am now writing a Raspberry Pi programming book. Details to come.
  • While I do, I'll be scoping out my next novel. Hard SF, oboy yes. One possibility is something I call Fire Drill, about what happens when you're mining the moon for nickel-iron and you hit gold. People seem to forget that Woodrow Wilson was NOT the progressive candidate in 1912. Teddy Roosevelt and Taft were both on the ballot, TR because he thought Taft was too progressive and Taft because he was running for re-election.

RPI book! anonymous April 25 2013, 14:08:13 UTC
Glad to see you are working on a RPI book. I've been having so much fun with it. As I was playing around with it, and saw folks asking about learning Assembly on it, I thought to myself that you would be the perfect one to do that. I don't know what your books is focused around, but I thought I would point you to an interesting way to write in Assembly on the RPI. If you install RISCOS (which runs amazingly well!), you can start the BASIC interpreter, and you can actually embed assembly in-line ! This is old-style 80's BASIC, with line numbers! There is a short article in a recent mag-pi magazine that covers it.
