Of course I have--and Bugs Bunny too: "You know how it is with these 'A' cards..." My point is that until Shrek that sort of thing was comparatively uncommon in feature-length animated films, and when present was carefully modulated so as not to overwhelm the story being told and the general style that was being used to tell it. Disney touched on it with Aladdin but I don't think they were all that comfortable with the idea. (There were a few clever cultural touches in Hercules that have been forgotten, along with that B-string film.)
