Groundhog Day. Snowing like hell here, and not only didn't our groundhog see his shadow, he couldn't even get out of his burrow. Nor did we get out of ours: Carol and I slept in and spent part of the afternoon watching...Groundhog Day.

I'm fond of this movie because my buddy Ders Anderson was an extra when it was shot in Woodstock. He's a tall guy wearing a bright orange hat, so he's easy to spot, and (like most of the extras) he shows up in many scenes, polka dancing or whatever.

I guess I'm the only person that didn't watch the movie the other day.

Jamie Zawinski did an estimated time line, and quotes from an interview with Harold Ramis, where he says he figures the movie covers about 10 years, although the original idea had been 10,000.
