I bought a "Green PC" from Wal-Mart via the Web. $189 list, $235 or so with tax and shipping. Actually a very nice little box, after I upped RAM to 2 gig. (another $60).

The gOS GUI seems to have been designed by the Chinese equivalent of Fischer-Price (who did the XP GUI). All bright colors and BIG icons. I played wit it enough to see that it didn't meet my needs and put Kubuntu 7.10 on the box.

Altogether, quite a bargain. And pre-teen and computer illiterate seniors will probably relate to it.
