I suspect concern over model rockets is more due to drought conditions and wildfire concerns than missile hysteria.
Have fun, but be careful.

We got another inch the other night, and almost all grassy areas are still snow-covered here, sometimes to the tune of several inches. (And what isn't is still pretty wet.) I didn't do rockets in Arizona for precisely that reason--I almost started a fire once with my propane torch while soldering antenna lead-ins--but we're in pretty good shape here on the Front Range.

Jeff, when you give yourself permission to act like a 14 year old, you don't mess around. :) Sounds fun.

Merry Christmas!

I take it that you’ve noticed that one of the latest things in lefty contrarianisn is pro nuke.
Personally, I’m not totally sold, but I am very leery of going up against Stewart Brand.

Yes, and the irony is delicious. What I resented was being told I was evil for supporting commercial nuclear power by people who had absolutely no concept of how the technology worked, and refused to learn even the rudiments.

I actually believed in human-caused climate change in the 1970s, long before Al Gore started playing his hot-air guitar. Nuclear, wind, and solar may be the only way out, and those on the left who have both brains and principles have begun to get on board.

I'm still willing to debate the issue, but only with people who have done enough research not to make idiots of themselves.

And a good forty years on since I first saw television coverage of the French ("unsafe") fast breeders, I'm still waiting for an explanation of why putting one of those next door to one of ours wouldn't double the mileage, since the waste from theirs is supposed to be useful as fuel in ours... or perhaps it was the other way, my brain cells have aged...

That tanker looks to be molded exactly like the Sunoco cars I used to purposely derail all the time just outside my Lionel "Townville".

Oh the humanity. Does Lionel produce a little 0 scale Hazmat team?

Merry Christmas everyone!
