Academia draws out to self-important lengths information which any reasonably intelligent, observant human being of any educational background could discover and digest within a matter of seconds. This is why my first attempt at grad school failed miserably.

Reminds me of this quote from Good Will Hunting, which is way better than most people pretend, incidentally...

"You dropped 150 grand on a fucking education you could have got for a dollar fifty and late charges at the public library"
