Thoughts on Graduations

As I was driving through campus earlier this week, I couldn't help but notice the stands being assembled in Alumni Park in preparation for graduation.  I began to remember the mixture of excitement and terror I felt when that particular omen manifested itself last year.

That's when I realized- I've been out of college for a year.  Which is just

...college was not about teaching us what to do, but rather how to think.

I think (ha) that that is indeed something to hold onto in these turbulent and uncertain times. The learning-how-to-deal will come in time, but knowing how to think? That's the foundation necessary for everything else.
