The End is Near!

I'm a bit fuzzy on my religion, but isn't Sony winning a format war one of the signs of the coming apocalypse?

It's all my fault. I saw the Toshiba HD-A3 price drop below $200 shortly after Black Friday last November, and I figured "What the heck? How could I possibly go wrong?!" (I got it for $170 with free shipping and 7 free movies.)

But like the article states, at least it makes a really great up-converting standard DVD player. I'll pick up a ton of movies for cheap if and when it gets phased out (We've already got around 15 or so movies, all of which we got for free or on sale). I'll keep the player for those movies and for upconverting the rest of my library until Blu-Ray 2.0 players come out, are upgradeable, and are reasonably priced, and then I'll pick one of those up, start collecting Blu-Ray movies, and get back on the HD bandwagon again.
