After my previous complaints (concerns? complaints?) about diversity in Star Wars I thought I should follow up with an update. In between all the fangirling and Racebending.com work at ComicCon I managed to get some "diversity in Star Wars advocacy in." You know, beyond my complaining on intarwebs work.I did not end up going to the EU Books

That sounds like food, not a person. O_O

I wonder if I can get my library to order The Deep. It seems awesome.

I do know, and it never stops horrifying me (especially when I have to read those kinds of descriptions in a book). There's also this terrible sexual, animalistic connotation to being described as food, as if we're no better than a cow or a pig (even though we're described like coffee).
