I was trying to make this point, and people were just What? Doesn't she actually look Asian now? and I'm NO, GOD NO, SHE LOOKS LIKE SOMEBODY'S 1970'S AMERICANIZED HONG KONG PORN FANTASY. I like the way Alphonsa draws; not only does Nico look believable, she has Japanese traits.

(Slight digression: my Asian friends think that Lucy Liu is totally fugly, and don't understand why America thinks she's, like, the postergirl of Asian hotness. This never fails to make me laugh. And such is the way that perceptions run.)
