Oriental issue showed up again on the Lost Forum. I'm starting to wonder if it's people, or just fans, or just me.
I hate arguments like this whole Oriental thing, because it hurts, but at the same time using the word can be so easily justified to make you look like a whiner, but you're not whining, it's truly offensive, but then they tell you that you don't have the right to feel offended. Or, in the case of "Slexy Oriental Women" that you should feel complimented.
Oh god, and don't get me started on chivalry...there's no way for me to say anything about it without sounding massively hypocritical. Suffice to say it is very fine, nice, and dandy of you to do sweet things like hold open car doors for me and seat me at a table--as long as you aren't doing it because I am female, or because you think I couldn't manage myself. Oh, and certainly don't put on this pretense of manly chivalry if you can't assassinate spiders.
