Having recently received Dark Shadows The Beginning Collection 5, I thought I'd post some thoughts about it.

Although the series featured ghostly apparitions before this--namely Josette Collins--this was the first out-and-out, no-holds-barred supernatural story. And it was one of Dark Shadows very best. Laura Collins (in truth a legendary Phoenix

And it gets better too. Personally I liked the original Phoenix storyline much better than some of the later ones. And it helped the original Barnabas storyline start out much spookier.

I have many of the VHS and some DVD actually. Don't even ask my friends about how much DS I have!
