I love this one, and I recently got the audio-only version with Anneke Wills (Polly) narrating, and found it somehow working almost as well - the consistency of format for all four episodes does help you to enjoy them more!

Thanks so much for replying! I do hope this one will get the DVD treatment soon, although I suspect they're holding on just in case Episode 4 ever turns up :: fingers crossed ::

Despite the sadness and its faults I can't help loving this story. I first saw it 12 years ago as a ropey nth generation copy, and it endeared me to it ever since.

Ben is sexy as hell - that Cockney accent makes me swoon!

I hope you enjoyed the screen cappage! :)

Ooo, I don't have any Tenth Planet caps, so I shall definitely be looking through those this afternoon!

As always, a great review! I watched this one when I finished all of the first Doctor era, even though I had watched some episodes out of order. I knew this one had to be watched last. And after seeing so many First Doctor serials that I had never seen before and really falling for the First Doctor, I must admit to having a tear in my eye at the end.

No, it's not the best way to have said goodbye to Billy, but as far as setting oh so many precedents, it's wonderful.

Thanks so much, sweetheart! After watching all of his stories in order during this marathon, I definitely got choked up there at the end.

On the bright side, I'm looking forward to diving into the Troughton era with several new reconstructions I've yet to watch.
